Almost back to back blogs! That never happens! Anyway, I have one interesting announcement regarding blogging specifically. Goimagine, the marketplace that hosts my shop and also http://mieloabelodesigns.com, is incorporating blogs. Sellers have been asking for this feature, which is apparently available on other platforms such as Shopify. After much internal discussion with myself, I decided to leave this blog alone and create a new blog. My plan is to do both with slightly different content. Challenging for me, seeing as I can barely come up with enough to say to blog here. But I have a few ideas and am starting the other blog off brand new. With that out of the way, I wanted to share my latest listing. I used a pewter pendant that I cut and embossed this past weekend. I thought it went well with the rhodochrosite and labradorite beads I purchased at the International Gem and Jewelry Show in January. I don’t really do seasonal collections, but this is one that would be Spring. I have another Spring idea, so it may be one of two.
I did use my new arbor press, but since I didn’t know how it would go, I did not video myself. I need a base plate and possibly a riser to set it on top of since I am still using it on the floor. Next time, I will get video. It didn’t work for stamping for me, sadly. The YouTube videos I watched used specialty presses that held the stamps, but honestly, I do not know if they would have worked better. I will continue to practice and see if I can figure something out.
