Well, it has been a while since I’ve blogged, and I’m not really sure where I want to go with this today, but exciting news, I got a sale this weekend on the goimagine marketplace. It appears to have come from the marketplace, not from my marketing or even a google search, and I’m thrilled that someone just randomly found my necklace while shopping on the site and purchased it! My whole idea behind joining was the potential for more exposure.
Otherwise, my day job has been extremely busy, and that has left me with little left over for any sort of creativity or motivation. I have toyed around with a few ideas, but the creative process can’t really be forced, or at least I have been unsuccessful.
I have made a few air dry clay pieces, but I am not sure they are good enough to list. We are our own harshest critics.
These were going to be my submission for the May Maker Challenge, Gradients and Grids, but I ended up not listing them. I did post them in an air dry clay group and got a number of compliments, so I am considering adding them to the shop.
These are newly painted. I actually painted a number of pieces this weekend, but these are really the only two I like. I was going for a ceramic look on the blue ones. I didn’t quite get there, but I’m not sad about how they turned out.
On several pairs, I tried embedding open jump rings for connecting rather than punching a hole, and I’m not sure I trust it. I painted flowers on the rounds, and I may take this idea larger, because I do like how the flowers turned out. I’m not a painter, so that part always makes me nervous!
I have a couple of ideas for necklaces, and one newly posted in my shop. Please click on Shop and Connect in my menu to go to my store or follow me on social media.
