Big Announcement: There’s a New Spring Market!
I am excited to announce that I will be participating in the first ever Hyde Park Spring Art Market! This is the same group I vend with every December. Interest has been expressed in expanding the number of markets, and this year we are making it happen!
It will be held in the parking lot next to Quack’s Bakery at 43rd and Duval on May 2nd, 10am to 4pm. Just in time for Mother’s Day shopping! I am looking forward to it, and I hope it becomes an annual event, like our holiday art fair.

I am a little nervous, as it is right around the corner. I have been quite overwhelmed with big changes going on at my full-time day job, so I just haven’t been making much. I do have a handful of projects started and a couple of items finished but not listed. I’ve also made a few things I simply don’t love, so I will have to decide do I take or not? I will have to make price tags for anything new that I am going to display.
Of course, I also need to print new business cards due to the closure of the marketplace. My QR code to Linktree did not change, but I included a message on the back referring people to the now obsolete goimagine marketplace, which needs to be removed. I will do the same for thank you cards. Although I am happy with the work I have done on this site and my Square shop, I still miss my goimagine shop and the idea it represented.
On a happier note, I completed and filed my taxes today, yay, so that is a task checked off the list at the last minute. It feels like a relief, and motivating me to get some of those projects finished. I completed a necklace last weekend and will try to get it listed today or tomorrow. The listing part is never my favorite, and I tend to drag my feet. I will strive to do better. I posted about it on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1AXVH16T2K/
I plan to blog about new items here: https://mieloabelo.com/category/new-items-listed/ Stay tuned!
