A couple of weeks ago, I upgraded to a Pepetools Oval Cabochon disc cutter and finally used it! This cutter was not cheap, but so worth it. The oval cutters I had been using were decent, but limited in how I could use them. There are so many possibilities with this cutter!
For my first use, I just banged out some solid ovals and washers. I tumbled them for about 2 hours and they came out shiny and smooth. I haven’t started a project with these pieces, and I’m already thinking of other ways I might use this cool tool!

I also have a round cutter, also from Pepetools, and I plan on getting them out side by side and seeing what I can come up with. I have a feeling I will be working with metal more often than I have been recently, not sad about that!
A fellow seller in the goimagine community mentioned an arbor press and I will definitely be looking into that! I would LOVE to get off the floor when I do this work. Hammering on my work table is not ideal, but neither is bending over and hammering on the floor. Eventually, my back rebels!
